Dua Lipa Hits Back At Journalist Who Questioned Her Surgery

Dua Lipa will not let anyone on with lies about her recent surgery, which forced the pop star to cancel a string of opening act appearances for Bruno Mars, as per her recent clapback at a journalist on Twitter.

As the story goes, the 22-year-old singer had to get her wisdom teeth removed recently and, for those that have had the surgery before, it's not a fun time. However, journalist Richard Wilkins didn't polish up his research and threw a jab at the singer after catching her recent lively set on Jimmy Kimmel Live! "Well get this — she was supposed to be in Australia opening up for Bruno Mars at his 24 Karat world tour, and had to cancel due to having her wisdom teeth out," he said on Channel 9 News. "But here she is on Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

While she may be on the mend, that didn't stop the pop star from hitting back at Wilkins with a message that was also accompanied by a photo of her oversized post-surgery mouth. "If you were a good journalist you would've done proper research instead of talking out of your ass. Jimmy Kimmel was shot in Feb in La and aired yesterday," she wrote. "I've been in Australia on bed rest and wouldn'tve cancelled my Bruno shows if I didn't have to."

And as the cookie crumbled, so did the journalist when he sent the singer an apology for his mistake. "Sincere apologies @DUALIPA. Didn't mean to misinform. Assumed you were live with Jimmy K. your fans and my son have severely castigated me!" he tweeted.
