Harry Styles Referenced Taylor Swift's '22' In Concert & Fans Freaked Out

Harry Styles knows just how to get his fans rowdy and it was all too evident when he briefly recited the lyrics to "22," you know, the smash hit by his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift

During his Sunday (March 18) show in Copenhagen, the former One Direction bandmate stopped his set to chat it up with the roaring audience and found a concertgoer celebrating her 22nd birthday. At that very moment, Styles went in, sending her a birthday greeting and seemingly quoted the pop titan's Red smash. "Twenty-two. She's 22, okay. I don't know about …," he said with a smile before walking away from the mic. As most Swifties know, "22" hears Taylor sing the opening chorus line: "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22."

It was one quick mention, but the brief four-word lyric saw fans of Styles and Swift come together to rejoice in their brief 2012-2013 relationship and considering just how rabid they are as fanbases, we understand just why they freaked out over the mention. In his 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Styles stayed mum on whether or not he served as the inspiration for a few 1989 tracks. "I mean, I don't know if they're about me or not, but the issue is, she's so good, they're bloody everywhere. I write from my experiences; everyone does that," he said. "I'm lucky if everything [we went through] helped create those songs. That's what hits your heart. That's the stuff that's hardest to say, and it's the stuff I talk least about. That's the part that's about the two people. I'm never going to tell anybody everything."
